Our Story begins over 120 years ago
More than 120 years of development and innovation in the field of the primary wood processing since the first bandsaw manufactured by the automobile manufacturer PANHARD LEVASSOR in the 1900’s to the 4.0 Smart Sawmills monitored from the FINEGA Data Center thanks to the digital technology and STARLINCK satellite network.

PANHARD LEVASSOR's woodworking activity becomes independent under the brand name of “PANHARD LEVASSOR RENNEPONT” and integrates the first electric motors
Visit of President Vincent AURIOL to the PANHARD LEVASSOR RENNEPONT booth during Paris Fair in 1947.
RENNEPONT company becomes independent and settles his first operation plant in Dormans (150 Km from Paris) and creates the industrial area where is today installed FINEGA group factory..
Opening of the company "Mécanique et Engrenage Moderne" which develop the first electrical log clamping for logs. Later, MEM became the French leader worldwide well-known for highly productive sawmill machinery.
SEGEM creates the first ring debarkers and then develops a complete range of equipment for automatic log yards and equipment for waste recovery.
CIRIS becomes the leading French engineering company dedicated to the wood and timber industry.
EGA built the first electronic setworks based on microprocessor technology for a better accurate positioning of sawmill machines. Then, EGA became the French leader for sawmill engineering, automation, scanners and optimization systems in order to increase recovery and improve sawmill productivity.
Creation of FINEGA group that successively belongs the activities of EGA companies, MEM, RENNEPONT, Gillet-M1TB, SEGEM and CIRIS
